Biosurfactants aided bioremediation mechanisms: A mini-review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Biosurfactants can be used for bioremediation as amphiphilic compounds that have shown good tolerance to changes in temperature, salt concentration, pH, and other environmental factors. They received increased attention because they are biodegradable do not generate any secondary contaminants. remove organic molecules example hydrocarbon contaminants through various mechanisms such surface tension reduction, emulsification, micelle formation. also play a role removing heavy metals by increasing contact with the of metal deposits forming complexes In this review, we focus on biosurfactants improving efficacy bioremediation.

Biosurfactants and oil bioremediation.

Oil pollution is an environmental problem of increasing importance. Hydrocarbon-degrading microorganisms, adapted to grow and thrive in oil-containing environments, have an important role in the biological treatment of this pollution. One of the limiting factors in this process is the bioavailability of many fractions of the oil. The hydrocarbon-degrading microorganisms produce biosurfactants o...

Biosurfactants are useful tools for the bioremediation of contaminated soil: a review

Bioremediation processes are negatively affected by the low aqueous solubility of some contaminants; therefore their bioavailability may be enhanced by the addition of surfactants. These compounds are organic molecules that can be chemically and biologically produced. Surfactants contain both hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups, therefore reducing surface and interfacial tensions of immiscible f...

Fasting and apoptosis: a mini review

Fasting, that is usually described as abstinence from all food and drink for a period of time, has been experienced for ages. Health, protest, religious expressions of devotion and purification are the most important reasons for fasting. Many changes occur in the body during fasting including metabolic, mineral, hormonal, immunological and psychological. Its use as one of the oldest therapies a...

Neuregulins Response to Exercise: a Mini Review

The Neuregulin is a member of the epidermal growth factors (EGF) family of receptor kinases, was originally identified as the product of the transforming gene derived from chemically induced rat neuroblastoms. A variety of different protein isoforms are produced from single Neuregulin gene. Four distinct vertebrate gene encode Neuregulin, prosaically named NRG1, NRG2, NRG3, and NRG4. Most of bi...
